We all understand that, in order to really be healthy, nutritious and balanced meal plans are important as are good amounts of exercise. Sadly, there isn’t always enough time or energy for us to really do the things we want to do. Working out at the gym isn’t something people want to do when they get off from work. People crave salty and sweet, not veggies (unless they are vegetarians). The good news is that making wise decisions doesn’t have to be a pain. If you keep at it, you’ll get all of the required nutrients and exercise. Here are some basic ways to get healthful.

Climb stairs. Stroll up the stairs to where you live or work as an alternative to using the elevator. Obviously this isn’t as possible if you work on the 25th floor of a high rise, but if you work on the fourth, climbing the stairs is a fantastic way to get some exercise in. Even if your office or home is on one of the highest floors, you can decide to get off of the elevator early and take the stairs the rest of the way. Lots of people opt for the easy elevator ride instead of making an efforts on the stairs. Even just a single flight of stairs, when travelled up or down a few times a day–can be a great improvement to your system.

There are lots of things you can do to become healthy. Not all of them demand fancy gym memberships or restrained diets. You can do tiny things every day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Being clever when you choose your food and activities is where it begins. Looking to get in as much physical exercise as possible is another. Remember: being healthy and balanced isn’t just about losing weight. You need to make your body as strong as possible.

Instructions to make Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwiches for Impatient People:

  1. Mix all spice rub ingredients. (Crack whole black peppercorns in a bag with a meat hammer. Show them who's boss)..
  2. Pat pork dry and coat with the spice rub..
  3. Heat a frying pan till hot with olive oil (low 5-10min, med 3-4 min, then med-high), then sear the pork on all sides until seriously browned(/burned), about 3-4 minutes each side..
  4. Reduce heat (med-low) and cover, cook until done (about 10-15 minutes) test doneness by touch. Keep checking. (Can be done a day in advance, cool and chill, wrapped in fridge). It's cool to burn the crap out of the bottom here, it adds to the flavor in the end..
  5. Score outside of pork with lengthwise knife cuts (helps pull the moisture IN)..
  6. In heavy pot, combine pork with enough water to just cover it. Add cider vinegar and 1/3 cup BBQ sauce..
  7. Bring to boil and then simmer over medium heat covered, 1 hour or more..
  8. Remove pork and shred with forks..
  9. Dump out pot, add remaining bottle of BBQ sauce in pan over medium high, stir in shredded pork and heat thoroughly, allowing sauce to soak into pork..
  10. Steam buns in pot with steamer rack over high, about 2 minutes. (I ignored, was too hungry)..
  11. Top bottom half of bun with pork, pickles and onions. Finish with top half of bun..
